Great Ideas!

I love this room. I've seen it posted many times on different blogs (wish I knew which one I borrowed this from.) Don't you just love the way the door on the right is painted? I also love the gathered skirt, embroidered monogrammed pillows...beautiful. There is just something so appealing about linen fabric.

I will have an extra fireplace surround as soon as we start our new addition. I wonder if it will be wide enough for a queen size bed because I think I want to give this headboard a try. Anyone know how to do that paint finish?

Love this ruffled pillow. Umm, I really should label my pictures so I can give credit where credit is due.

I love this old world look. Check this out from the Graphics Fairy for a tutorial on how to make French inspired linens. I love the Graphics Fairy site. She is so nice to give away free PDF files and post other people's projects using her graphics.

I've decided to start making posts of things I love. That way I can find them easier when I'm looking for inspiration. I guess I better start labeling my inspiration pictures when I save them.

A Continuation of Things I Love

I love clocks...yes I do. These are just three of the clocks in my home. Although I must confess that these are the best three as well. The one above I purchased at Target I think.
This one was a gift. You can always give me a clock for a present if you don't know what else to give me. :)
This great clock was $5...yes $5 from RC Wiley when you purchased something. I think I got it when we bought our refrigerator. It does have some awful chimes though very electronic.

I have a small collection of antique watch faces. I'm not sure what to do with them but they are cool. I might just put them in a frame mounted on black fabric. Any suggestions?

More Favorite Things

Here is my inspiration board in my art studio...aka sewing room. It's full of many of Candice's photographs (I can't get enough of those), sayings/quotes, and other trinkets. I love quotes that speak to me and write them in the end of my journals so I will always know where to find them.
I also love making books. The really good ones I've given away but here are a few I have left. I've taken book binding at BYU twice. It's a great class.
I made up these little boxes to house my little books. It's fun to experiment with leather, paper, old maps, and whatever else you can find for inspiration.
What things do you love?

Things I love #1 (in a series)

I'm still working on my photography class. So this week I decided to start taking pictures of "things I love." I love buttons and have just a few as you can see. I add buttons to everything I make.
Here's another picture I liked.
This is the one I turned in for my assignment. It's the first time I took pictures with the camera on manual. What fun and freedom. Candice explains things so well that it makes it easy. Check out her blog for her latest photography shoot. (Her life is not charmed...poor thing...but things seem to turn out in the end.)
